faqs for partners

What are the differences between the College Club and College Rep partnership opportunities?

The College Club partnership is built with ski/snowboard and outdoors clubs in mind, with benefits that reward those clubs or groups for pass sales. For every pass sold via your custom landing page, your club or group will receive $20. The total benefits earned will be issued in the form of a single check after the December 5, 2024 program deadline.

The College Rep partnership is ideal for students who are passionate about skiing or riding and want to grow the community of mountain lovers on their campus as well as other regional schools. As a Rep Partner, you’ll have the opportunity to earn your own Season Pass while promoting the exclusive $359 College Club Season Pass to other full-time students at colleges or universities in your region (including your own). It’s also important to know that as a College Rep, there is no affiliation with your school, and no school logos or other imagery will be included in the sales collateral.

If you have any questions about which option might be best for you, don’t hesitate to contact us here.

What is the difference between the SKI3 College Club Season Pass and the regular SKI3 College Season Pass?

Both passes provide full season access with no blackout dates to Whiteface, Gore, and Belleayre Mountain! The SKI3 College Club Season Pass also includes all of the same great pass perks as a regular SKI3 College Season Pass. We know that college is not a small expense, so we give our partners a great deal that allows eligible students to study and shred on a budget.

Can there be both a College Club Partner and a College Rep Partner established at the same college or university?

No, generally there is either one College Club Partner or one College Rep Partner per participating college or university. For College Rep Partners specifically, we do ask that you only promote this deal to eligible students at colleges and universities in your region (including your own) that do not have an existing College Club or Rep Partnership in place for the 2024/25 season.

Can there be more than one College Rep at my college or university?

Typically we only allow one College Rep per college or university. If you are interested in being a College Rep but there is already another student who is a College Rep at your school, please contact us here and we will take your request into consideration.

What are the qualifications required for a College Club Partner?

College Club Partners are typically established clubs or groups on a college or university campus with a skiing/snowboarding and/or outdoors focus. The successful College Club Partners have used on-campus events as well as digital channels (social media, email, club websites) to spread the word about the $359 SKI3 Season Pass deal available to all eligible students at their school. All College Club Partners must have an authorized representative of your college or university to complete and sign the Partner Agreement as well as a W-9 Form. Typically this is handled through the school’s finance or bursar’s office. To learn more and apply, click here.

What are the qualifications required for a College Rep?

College Reps must be full-time students (12+ credits for undergraduates or 9+ credits for graduate students) currently enrolled in a college or university. Students who are learning either on campus or remotely/online (or a hybrid model) may apply. As a College Rep, you will be an independent contractor, setting your own schedule and time to meet your sales milestones before the December 5, 2024 deadline. To learn more and apply, click here.

Can I get my Season Pass before meeting a sales milestone as a College Rep?

No, College Reps will not receive any program benefits in advance of meeting the respective sales milestones of the program. Temporary passes, tickets, and/or vouchers will not be issued under any circumstance. In order to get your 2024/25 SKI3 College Club Season Pass for free, you must sell a minimum of 10 passes using your custom link prior to the December 5, 2024 deadline.

As a College Club Partner, who can I share the 2024/25 SKI3 College Club Season Pass deal with?

Your school will have its own landing page on the website where eligible students can access the $359 SKI3 College Club Season Pass deal and purchase online before the December 5, 2024 deadline. Eligible students include full-time students currently enrolled in the same college or university as your club or group.

When promoting the pass, you can share the link via social media, emails to club members and/or other campus groups, QR codes on posters…whatever gets the word out! Remember, the goal of this program is to make skiing and riding more accessible to college students, so please do not attempt to restrict this promotion to your club members or officers. As partners, we hope that you use this as an opportunity to build the community of skiers and riders at your school.

As a College Rep Partner, who can I share the 2024/25 SKI3 College Club Season Pass deal with?

You will receive a unique promo code and gift code to use in conjunction with your respective home mountain’s College Rep landing page (see here for Whiteface, Gore, and Belleayre). You can share these codes with any full-time student currently enrolled in a college or university in your region, including your own, provided there is no existing SKI3 College Rep or Club Partnership at their respective school(s).

Why do I need a promo code and gift code as a College Rep Partner?

Your promo code and gift code will be the same, so it will be easy to communicate with eligible students. The only difference between the two codes will be in how they are used—promo codes should be used for new pass purchases and gift codes should be used for pass reloads. You’ll find detailed instructions for buying new passes versus reloading on the College Rep landing pages (see here for Whiteface, Gore and Belleayre).

How do I receive the $20 per pass benefit as a College Club Partner?

Your club or group will receive $20 per Season Pass sold via your landing page during the program period in the form of a check written out to the authorized representative designated on your W-9 form. Please note that all benefit checks will be issued after the December 5, 2024 deadline. Generally, checks will be mailed within six weeks from the end of the program period, but we do not guarantee a date of issue.

Can our club/group apply part of our $20 per pass benefit towards the purchase of passes?

No, program benefits cannot be issued in advance of the December 5, 2024 deadline, and temporary passes, tickets and/or vouchers will not be issued under any circumstance. Club members and/or officers that meet the eligibility requirement of current full-time enrollment may purchase the 2024/25 SKI3 College Club Season Pass using your landing page. Passes sold to club members and/or officers will be treated the same as any other passes sold using your landing page—your club or group will receive $20 for each pass sold.

What support and materials can I expect the mountain to offer me as a College Club or Rep Partner?

You will be assigned a direct contact from your mountain’s Marketing & Sales Office to help formulate your sales strategy and provide guidance on getting the word out and reaching your goals as a Club or Rep Partner. Partners should expect to receive a digital package of branded assets—things like QR codes, logos and imagery for social posts, sample emails—to assist in sales efforts. Please note that at this time given the additional safety precautions required for COVID-19, we will not be making any on-campus visits for the College Club Program.
